WWTP Sequential Batch Reactor
Client: Town of Alexandria
Upgrade the plants current treatment capacity from 150,000 gpd to an average capacity of 300,000 gpd, with a peak demand capacity of 600,000 gpd. A sequential batch reactor treatment system was designed to handle the expansion. The plants lift station capacity was increased utilizing suction lift pumps, an ultra-violet (uv) disinfection system was designed to replace the existing chlorine disinfection system. The existing concrete lagoon is utilized as post equalization prior to discharging to the uv disinfection system.
