  • Exercise judgment with regards to creating construction documents using MicroStation (Site, Grading, Demolition, Utility, Plan/Profiles, and Erosion Control Plans) with minimal supervision;
  • Perform necessary hydraulic calculations for projects which included water and sanitary sewer;

PARTIAL LISTING OF MUNICIPAL PROJECT EXPERIENCE

 

Goodlettsville Mansker Creek Sewer Rehabilitation (Goodlettsville, Tennessee):  Developed a Facilities Plan following SRF guidelines to assist the City of Goodlettsville with acquiring a SRF loan for sewer rehabilitation.  The Facilities Plan included alternative construction cost estimates and present worth life cycle costs.   The sewer rehab project will correct deficiencies within the City’s sewer collection system.

 

2017 Sewer Rehabilitation and Improvements (Fayetteville, Tennessee):  Developed project drawings and specifications for submittal to State agencies for approval of SRF funding.   The sewer rehab project will correct deficiencies within the utilities sewer collection system.

 

2016 Water Transmission Improvements Phase 1 (Fayetteville, Tennessee):  Assisted in the design of the water line transmission project.  The project made improvements to the water distribution system by installing redundant transmission lines to provide a resilient source of drinking water south of the Elk River.   The project included two TDOT bridge crossings and two ARAP creek crossings.  Assisted in developing construction cost estimates and preparing the Contract Documents to be used in the bidding and construction phases.  Assisted in developing documents for the TDOT, ARAP, and SWPPP permit applications.

 

Harpeth Heights Sewage Pump Station (Fayetteville, Tennessee):  Assisted in the design of a new sewage pump station to replace an existing sewage pump station.  The project replaced an aging sewage pump station by constructing a new sewage pump station on adjacent property and abandoning the existing station.  Assisted in evaluation of current and future flows to the proposed station and hydraulic analysis for pump selection.  Provided assistance in preparing the Contract Documents used in the bidding and construction phases.

 

Goodlettsville Sewer System Corrective Action Plan (Goodlettsville, Tennessee):  Assisted in developing a corrective action plan to evaluate, identify, and correct inflow and infiltration issues within the sewer system.  System mapping and previous sewer flow data were evaluated to provide recommendations for flow meter deployment.  Maintained sewer flow meters and collected and analyzed flow data utilizing Teloggers for Windows.  Flow data charts were created with Microsoft Excel.  EPA SSOAP modeling software was utilized to determine inflow and infiltration components by the RTK Hydrograph method.

 

Winchester Highway Sewer Rehabilitation (Fayetteville, Tennessee)Assisted in the design of the sewer rehabilitation project under the supervision of a professional engineer.  The sewer rehab project corrected deficiencies in the Winchester Highway east area along with other areas in the central portion of Fayetteville.  The project replaced the aging sewer main and service connections inside of the right-of-way by the open cut and pipe bursting methods.  Select manholes were rehabilitated by various construction methods to ensure a watertight seal.  Evaluated the existing conditions and known data to build a project scope and construction cost estimate.  Provided assistance in the TDOT and ARAP permitting application process.  Provided assistance in preparing the Contract Documents used in the bidding and construction phases.  Assisted in management of the project through the design, bidding, and construction phases.

 

Lincoln County Huntsville Highway Sewer (Lincoln County, Tennessee):  Provided assistance in the design of the force main sewer system. This project provided sanitary sewer facilities along the Huntsville Highway corridor from the Alabama/Tennessee state line to the FPU sewer collection system in Fayetteville, Tennessee.  Assisted in the applications for ARAP, SWPPP, and TDOT permits that required for the construction of the project.  Information was gathered by site visits to assist in the completion of the design phase which included approximately 100,000 LF of sewer force main, four sewage pumping stations and four private STEP systems.  Provided assistance in preparing the Contract Documents used in the bidding and construction phases.  Drafted yearly post construction reports for compliance with the TDEC individual ARAP permit reporting requirements.  Assisted in management of the project through the design, bidding, and construction phases.

 

2013 SRF SSES Procurement (Fayetteville, Tennessee):  Assisted in the process of the procurement of sewer assessment data under the supervision of a professional engineer.  A cost estimate was created from the information gathered from the Fayetteville wastewater system maps to budget the sanitary sewer evaluation project.  Assisted in creating a bid schedule and project specifications as part of the Contract Documents.  Data from this project was evaluated to determine problem areas in the system and develop a scope for future sewer rehabilitation projects.
