Exercise judgment with regards to creating Construction Documents using MicroStation (Site, Grading, Demolition, Utility, Plan/Profiles, and Erosion Control Plans) with minimal supervision. Perform necessary hydraulic calculations for projects which include water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer installation. Use ArcMap to develop data for local jurisdiction for storm water funding programs. PARTIAL LISTING OF MUNICIPAL/PRIVATE PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Town of Smyrna Gravity Sewer Line Rehabilitation Project, Smyrna (Rutherford County), TN
Served as project engineer for the rehabilitation of approximately 29,000 linear feet of gravity sewer line by method of pipe bursting and rehabbing of approximately 128 sewer manholes with a spray epoxy system. Project also included upsizing 8” sewer to 12” sewer by conventional trenching method. Performed field inspections to determine structural integrity of existing brick manholes and to verify sewer main locations. Prepared plans and profiles necessary for Tennessee Department of Conservation Division of Water Pollution Control approval. Project cost is $2.3 million.
Publix Grocery Store – State Hwy 99 & St. Andrews Drive, Murfreesboro (Rutherford County), TN
Project included complete site design and roadway improvements for the construction of a Publix grocery store, an additional strip building, and lease lots. Completed the site layout, grading and drainage plans, and utility plans. The improvements also required design of deceleration/turn lanes on State Hwy 99. The utility plan included layout and hydraulic analysis of both water and sewer to serve all buildings and lease lots.
Gracepointe Church – State Hwy 6 & Country Road, Franklin (Williamson County), TN
Project included the widening of State Hwy 6 at the intersection of Country Road for the installation of a left hand turn lane. Project also required the extension of a sanitary sewer line to service the church. Included as well was the replacement and relocation of an existing water line.
Harlinsdale Manor Subdivision – State Hwy 6, Franklin (Williamson County), TN
Harlinsdale Manor Subdivision – New subdivision connected to State Hwy 6 in Franklin, TN. The project included the design of a public road connecting into the state highway and the installation of all utilities through the subdivision. Served as project designer for all aspects of the project.
Winchester Downtown Revitalization Project – Winchester (Franklin County), TN
Project replaces the existing sidewalks around the square with the addition of landscaping. Project cost $1.4 million. Serving as the Construction Inspector to monitor material installation, construction safety, and installation procedures. Responsible for providing all necessary documentation of daily records and inspections.
Spring Hill Water Line Extension – Spring Hill (Maury County), TN
Project required the installation of a water line to serve an alternate fire flow protection source for the Target development complex constructed on State Hwy 6. Served as project designer for both layout and hydraulic calculations.
Cedar Stone Community Park – Smyrna (Rutherford County), TN
Large community park which included multiple ball field complexes, recreation play areas, and parking. Performed hydraulic calculations for both water and sanitary sewer lines to serve the park. Assisted with the storm sewer hydraulic design calculations
City of Winchester TDOT Surface Transportation Projects (STP) – Winchester (Franklin County), TN
Provided project oversight to guide the project from conception to construction through TDOT’s Local Programs Guidelines. Completed the necessary documents and coordination to obtain environmental clearance through the NEPA process. Coordinated construction plans with TDOT for approval. Obtained right-of-way, utility, and permit certifications to proceed to construction.
